"With every heart beat you are one step closer to God"-sign on a church I pass by everyday

I pass by this sign everyday on my way home.  It makes me pause and ponder this everyday.

We are limited in the time we are given.  All of our grave stones have a start date and an end date.
Although those are important the most most important part of a grave stone is the dash between those two numbers.

It is everything.  It is why in my daily planner I write the day out of 21000(I plan to live till 101-see Day6).  To indicate to me that I am one day closer to my end date.  One heartbeat closer to God.  Or, in my case one day closer to God.
